A magical adventure of animals travelling worldwide to Noah’s Ark and their year spent aboard where heroes Max and Liz foil a plot by a stowaway to finish off the human race by wiping out Noah’s family.
Jenny L. Cote developed an early passion for God, history and young people. She beautifully blends these passions together in her new fantasy fiction series, The Amazing Tales of Max and Liz.
The series takes our heroes, Max and Liz, through pivotal points in Biblical and world history. Book one, The Ark, The Reed, and The Fire Cloud is currently being produced as a 3-D animated feature film with a scheduled release date to be announced soon! Jenny is currently writing the second action-packed book in the series, The Dreamer, The Schemer and The Robe, about the life of Joseph available in 2009.
Book four in the series, The Voice, The Revolution and the Jewel, brings Max and Liz to the forefront of the Revolutionary War as they help Patrick Henry and the Marquis de Lafayette turn the tables on the British! Jenny is actively researching for this book, and her travels have led her all over Virginia to Paris, France.
Jenny holds two Marketing degrees from the University of Georgia and Georgia State University. Her career has focused on Strategic Planning and Marketing and she enjoyed working with young people at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta for nine years. She now writes and speaks full time and lives in Roswell, Georgia, with her husband Casey, son Alex, and of course, the REAL Max and Liz. She is active in the Student Ministry at Dunwoody Baptist Church. Jenny enjoys reading, research, museums, travel, meeting new people, fitness and finding any excuse she can to get to the beach. MY REVIEW
I love, love, LOVE this book! It is aimed at kids aged 8-12 but honestly I think everyone would enjoy this book! I loved the characters, the writing style, the plot line- Jenny L. Cote kept my attention the whole way through. I fully intend on reading this book to my kids in a year or two when they are willing to listen to chapter books without pictures! The Ark, the Reed, and the Fire Cloud is a brilliant and creative way to share timeless Biblical stories and truths with kids.
I highly recommend this book to anyone with kids. This would also make an excellent read-aloud book in the classroom or in a Sunday school class over several weeks. It would also make a wonderful Christmas present for the young readers in your life!
