And don't forget the world's most spectacular parties, including the Gnaoua festival in Morocco or Trinidad Carnival. Whether you want to ponder art in Melbourne or eat eels in the Neretva Delta, there's all manner of travel experiences to keep those feet itching.

Make the Most of Your Time on Earth: the very best things to see or do, and not before you die, but now.

Guest Review by my mom :)

This is a book that will whet your appetite for travel. The index is by country, and each chapter includes recommendations and illustrations by individual writers and photographers. Examples of this would be "Greece - Island-hopping on the Aegean," or "Puerto Rico - Sugar and spice: touring rum-makers." It takes you around the world and uncovers adventures you may not hear about at your travel agent. If you're looking for a travel destination, this is a must read. Educational and well presented, this book will appeal to people from childhood to old age.

Thanks so much to DK Canada for sending me a copy of this book to review.
