Every stay-at-home and work-from-home mom will view this book as having been written just for her. Perfect for book groups, it will contain a reader guide.

MY REVIEW

This is the perfect book for a mom like me! The stories are short and sweet and easy to read in a hurry... which is vital when you have 3 young kids running around. I could pick it up whenever I had a minute, read a quick story and put it down again to do a load of laundry, change a diaper, play hide-and-seek... and then come back and start right where I left off! As I read I cried, I laughed out loud, and I was generally amazed at just how similar we all are! I am a story fanatic and Chicken Soup for the Soul- Power Moms is packed full of wonderful real-life stories.

I have found that knowing I am not alone in my struggles and joys as a mom is VITAL to my sanity- this book shows that clearly. All of us moms struggle, we all have joy, and we are all a part of a greater community of women just doing our best to be the best moms we can be! Reading the stories of so many moms- some famous, some not-so-famous, reminds us we are not alone. I really appreciated that this book is relevant to both stay-at-home moms and work-at-home moms. Chicken Soup for the Soul- Power Moms would make a wonderful gift to the young moms in your life!

Great mommy moment... watching my little girl comfort her baby sister, because "that's what mommies do."

Not so great mommy moment: Having my little girl tell me to take her to Nana's house and leave her there because "you're a bad mommy!" haha. Can't wait for the teen years.

Great mommy moment. Is watching my 2 and 3 year old playing together when my daugther hurt her hand and started to cry. Her older brother kissed it better and they just went back to playing. So sweet

Every day is a mommy moment for me! My 3 year old often takes her baby brother to her room in the mornings, giving me an extra 5-10 minutes of sleep, lol. Heck, a random hug or kiss is enough to make me go all mushy inside!

I'll have to keep an eye out for this book =)

I'd love to win this book for my friend, who is a new mom. Once when my brother was little (three or so) he kept crying that he wanted to go to the 'jokey store'. He got so upset when nobody could understand what he meant. It took a couple weeks of tantrums for us all to learn he meant the GROCERY store. lol. We still all laugh about that one. Please enter me. Thanks!

While I am not a mother I do help my sisters quite often with their children.
I take my nephew who is two to a nursery school. We were going to do a craft and he looks at me and says straight face--I do by self not you.
It is independence in the making.

A "MOMMY MOMENT" is me waking up at 6 am. to find my wife sitting up on the couch, asleep, with my son in her arms. She had been there from 2 am. when my son woke up crying. She kept him quiet so I could sleep and go to work in the morning! What a mom, and, what a wife!

I had to laugh at my 3 yo son who, in trying to get his 5yo sister to listen to him, finally put her in time out. It is nice to know he hears me sometimes.

I just saw a mommy moment, and it was a little girl telling her mom to "make sure she cleaned the table" when they were eating out. It was cute.

I have mommy moments everyday. I have a handi-abled child, and watching him try so hard gives me inspiration. He always gives 100% at everything he's able to do.

I remember when I was two I had this horrible Asthma attack and I remember mom rocking me with a sippy cup next to the vaporizer. She was singing softly and rubbed Vicks Vapor Rub on me. To this day it is one of my fondest memories.

When I was 17 I had a horrible breakup with my boyfriend of 4 years. I had called my mom from school to tell her about it and when I came home she had tenderly taken down all the pictures of my boyfriend and everything he had given me in a box & put it in the garage. She saved me from being even more heartbroken.

A great "mommy" moment for me involves my dad driving my car 1500miles so that I would have it to use while I lived out of state for my husband's medical treatment. Dad drove straight down, stopping only for gas and food breaks. He limped around for the next few days. I never will forget that1

The time when I gave my daughter baby food - prunes in the jar and then put her down for a nap. I had no idea she'd poop all over her crib, herself, her hair, her face and wake up crying! I gave her too much! She liked them so I thought it was a good thing. I cried at her...and the mess! I felt like an awful mom. A not so good moment mommy moment I'll never forget!

My favorite mommy moment was just this past Friday. My son and I had gone on a field trip to the zoo with his class and when we got home we both needed to soak our sore feet. So there we are sitting side by side with our feet in the tub reading together and he said "This is fun mom,can we do it again tomorrow"
Thanks for the contest!

My mom would have to pat my back for hours until I fell asleep.
When she thought that I was, she would stop, and I would wake up and say more pat mommy. Drove her crazy, but she did it nearly every night.

I always thought that my husband was the strict parent. I was shocked when my son told his friend that "Mom is the strictist". At least the friend said, "She is not strict, she just makes you do the things that you need to do like your homework and brush your teeth."
