This is the Day review and GIVEAWAY!!! CLOSED

This giveaway is now CLOSED! Congratulations to Brea's Mommy and Selina for winning this lovely book. Winners were chosen with random.org.

Product Description (taken from Amazon.com)

Each day of the week our world holds a new surprise if we pay attention to what God has given us.

From the Back Cover
It is both the unnoticed cottonwood seed floating in the air and the familiar raven’s call that prompts children to listen, touch, be surprised, laugh, and celebrate the wonder of their creator and the beauty of creation. This enchantingly poetic story will delight children as they discover new ways to appreciate and interact with the world around them.

MY REVIEW

This is a lovely book. The illustrations by Richard Cowdrey are absolutely gorgeous! Each page looks like a marvellous painting of God's creation. I have read this book several times to my three kids (ages 2, 5, and 6) and all three enjoyed it. My 2 year old daughter especially liked the pictures and pointing out the various animals that she saw. My sons also enjoyed hearing the words and my eldest liked how each page was for a different day of the week. Reading This is the Day is an excellent way to remind our children, and ourselves, to be thankful for all God has given us in our beautiful world!

I am thankful God created trees. They stand so tall, so strong reaching to heaven. Yes wavering in the wind today but strong against it. A haven for birds, and animals. I provides so much for us too. God is so wise in His creation. He does give good gifts.

I'm thankful for the birds. Every time I feel down, I walk outside and a little bird lands near me and tweets away. It's my reminder from God that I shouldn't worry because He cares for the birds...so why not me!
